In Parliament the start of Question Time is signalled by the Sergeant at Arms calling out in a booming voice “Mr Speaker”. I’ve borrowed the ‘Question Time’ headline for our VoterTorque Podcast Series where we ask listeners to send in their burning questions.
The questions covered in the podcast are:
- Is New Zealand better off with many parties contributing to the ‘contest of ideas’ or a move back to the old two party system of First Past the Post?
- Does polling influence the way people vote?
- Who is the Speaker and what does he/she do?
- What is the difference between the titles ‘Right Honourable’ and ‘Honourable’?
We like getting questions and encourage listeners to send them to us through the ‘Contact’ section on the TorquePoint website.
