Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my personal blog ‘One Sock’. That’s a technical term … meaning everything in one place. My career has spanned a range of areas from the health sector (where I was a physiotherapist), to politics (three terms as an MP and Minister), to defence (ten years as a sapper and NZ Army Reserve Officer), to my current world of Governance and Consulting. If you’d like to know more you can find my full resume on LinkedIn

These days I am the Chair of three boards and have a boutique Consulting business called Torquepoint. One of the most rewarding things I’m doing at the moment (through Torquepoint) is sponsoring a village in Fiji following Cyclone Winston in 2016.  You can see what we do in this video clip:

I’ve not previously had a home for everything I’ve written and the speeches I’ve delivered over the years and it’s time to bring them all together in this blog. I also want to be able to continue commenting on issues of the day or those I feel strongly about so there is also plenty of new content here. I don’t have a comments section but if you’ve things to add to a debate or if you would like to have a discussion about something I’ve posted please feel free to send me an email via the Contact section of the blog.
